Three Days Landscape Painting: Moorland, Villages, Rivers:

Three days, three different subjects, and each day can be taken as a separate unit.
Meldon Reservoir and Quarry are dramatic moorland sights.

Sticklepath and Belstone are two nearby picturesque villages with ancient farms and cottages and glorious panoramic views.

The West Ockment river valley and Okehampton Castle, where Turner painted in 1812-13, is a beautiful and sheltered place to sketch and paint.
